Frequently Asked Questions

How long are the courses?
4 days (MikroTik standard is 2-3 days). The extra day covers English-Vietnamese interpretation and deeper hands-on practice — additional tips & tricks, real-world stories, extended Q&A.
What language are courses taught in?
English, with a professional Vietnamese interpreter. Our interpreters hold Master's degrees in linguistics, with experience at Samsung and international infrastructure projects. Fluent in technical IT vocabulary.
What prerequisites are required?
OSI model, basic TCP/IP and subnetting. MTCNA is the mandatory foundation before any advanced certifications (Level 2, Level 3). MikroTik offers a free self-assessment test on their official website.
How does the certification exam work?
25 multiple-choice questions, 60 minutes, taken online immediately after the course on the MikroTik website. You may use notes, Winbox, official documentation and wiki during the exam. The trainer supervises in-class — no remote exams.
What makes the course better than self-study?
Approximately 70% hands-on practice. Tips & tricks not found in official documentation, real MikroTik equipment, personalized guidance, real-world stories from 15+ years of experience. Certification exams are only available after official training — no standalone tests.
Are the certifications recognized globally?
Yes. MikroTik certifications are recognized worldwide. Certified engineers can register on the MikroTik Consultants Directory — visible to employers, clients, and MikroTik's Latvia support team. Tier 2 opens the path to becoming an authorized dealer or certified trainer.
What about meals and amenities?
Lunch included (dietary options available), complimentary coffee/tea/water all day, air-conditioned rooms, redundant internet (4G backup), 120" laser projector, backup laptop for emergencies.
Is there post-course support?
Facebook community of 10,400+ members, technical support, networking opportunities, mentoring for advanced certifications. Freelance partners available for specialized projects.
Who can join MTZero?
Anyone starting out — basic TCP/IP knowledge is the only prerequisite. No prior certification required. MTZero is a 1-day workshop introducing RouterOS, designed by the Academy.
What comes after MTCNA?
7 specialized Level 2 certifications (MTCRE, MTCWE, MTCTCE, MTCSE, MTCIPv6E, MTCUME, MTCEWE) + 2 advanced Level 3 certifications (MTCINE, MTCSWE). Each requires MTCNA as a prerequisite. See the Courses page for details.
