5-Step Path
- 01
Pass MTCNA
Foundation certification required for all MikroTik paths.
- 02
Score 75%+ on one advanced exam
Any certification beyond MTCNA, at Tier 2 (75%+).
- 03
Apply to MikroTik
Submit directly to MikroTik Latvia. Selection at MikroTik's discretion.
- 04
Complete Train-the-Trainer
Trainer development program in Riga, Latvia.
- 05
Receive trainer certification
MikroTik retains full discretion on certification based on demonstrated competence.
Each step depends on the one before it. No step can be skipped.
Train-the-Trainer Program
- • Organized by MikroTik, typically in Riga, Latvia.
- • Candidates prepare and present teaching materials on an assigned topic.
- • Assessment: presentation skills, test scores, teaching material quality.
- • Trainer certificates have no expiration date.

Trainer Recertification

The trainer certificate is permanent, but the engineering certifications must be maintained continuously.

Search by ID or name at mikrotik.com/training/certificates.
- 2. Search trainer
Find trainers at mikrotik.com/training/search — list maintained by MikroTik.
- 3. Verify Training Center
Check approved TCs at mikrotik.com/training/about.
- 4. Confirm proctoring
Official courses always include on-site proctored exams — no unproctored online exams.
