MikroTik Certification Renewal
All MikroTik certifications are valid for 3 years from the date of passing. Timely renewal ensures continuous global recognition, maintains Consultants Directory listing, and preserves trainer eligibility (if applicable).
Certificate Validity
- • Valid for 3 years from the date of passing — applies to both Tier 1 and Tier 2.
- • Publicly verifiable at mikrotik.com/training/certificates — search by ID or name.
- • Expiration date is clearly shown on the certificate and verification page.
- • Expired certificates are not deleted — the record remains but is marked "expired".

Renewal Process
- 1. Schedule at a Training Center
Contact a MikroTik-approved TC to book an exam slot.
- 2. Take the current RouterOS exam
Exam is based on the latest RouterOS version at the time of testing.
- 3. Proctored on-site
Supervised by a certified trainer, in person — no online exams.
- 4. New 3-year validity
Pass → new certificate with 3-year validity from the exam date.
You can renew before your certificate expires. There is no need to wait for expiry.
Consequences of Lapse
- • Removed from the MikroTik Consultants Directory.
- • Cannot be listed as a certified engineer on professional profiles.
- • Trainers: cannot conduct courses or proctor exams until renewed.
- • Record remains on mikrotik.com but is marked "expired".
